What are holiday's? Who benefits from them? What they are is a time when people go crazy, with shopping, decorating, cooking, and visiting. Some visit people they have not seen in awhile taking gifts and receiving gifts. It is a time for wishing and hoping. Still for others it is a time for crying and sadness. Whereas for those with any sanity at all it is just another day in a long line of days of crime, hate, and remembrance of what is going to be and what has already passed.
There is nothing wrong with shopping, cooking, visiting; we all do those things at some point in our lives. Why then are holidays so crazy for some people? As for the ones who benefit they are the businesses. They advertise their merchandise way in advance of holidays. People stand in line even sleep in front of stores waiting to be first to grab certain products that are on sale and in limited amounts. They have been known to even kill people trying to get to these products.
Even your light company, gas company, transportation system reaps the benefit. Take a good look at your light bill look at how high it goes up with your decoration. Even those of us who do not put them up still suffer because our bills go up too.
When that one day is over and you are stuck with tons of bills don't complain. Just know you were the crazy one, and the businesses that benefit from your craziness they were the smart ones.

Arts and Crafts Show
This past Saturday, 11.28.09, I helped my daughter with her table at an arts and crafts show. All in all I must say it was good, with the exception of one person. All the people who were set up there were nice and friendly. The arts and crafts were supposed to be something you made yourself. Well there was a Mary Kay booth set up, t-shirts that were obviously purchased and iron on dressings added. But for the most part everything looked as if people had come up with good ideas and had done the things themselves.
The one woman who was not nice or friendly came in throwing things on the table, moving the table, knocking things over on my daughter's table and moving the table so close that you could not get out without moving her table again. She was fussing and complaining about where she wanted to sit. She was a complete idiot. I felt sorry for her husband. I kept my cool though because I wanted to slap some sense into her, but I didn't. When she started to pick up things on my daughter's table I told her to leave it alone. I also reminded her that somebody else would have to get by and as there was no way to move our table (it was already touching another table) she would have to move her table back the way it was. Some people can really try your patience. They finally moved her. If it had been me I would have sent her butt packing. If she refused to leave I would then have called the police and had her removed. Why is it that some people think they are better than others? To the person that really matters we are all nothing but dust. So all of you who think you are better, think again. To the Almighty your money, prestige or anything else you may have means nothing. For Tanny from Tanny's Creations, whose jewelry was all made by hand and the wood carving that your husband did they were beautiful. For Shunta, Holly, and Linda, the artwork was superior. But please don't any of you allow it to go to your head. I think you all should get into actual art shows. Shows where people appreciate good art and great ideas. Keep the good work up.

Crooks in the Business world
I am beginning to think that Palm Coast, Florida is the worst place ever to move to. It would appear that everyone I have come in contact with has tried to rip me off. Let me tell you about Nancy Petekiewicz she works for Weichert Realtors. I was going to rent a house through her. After having it inspected by a professional we found there were so many things wrong. Things were suppose to be fixed and I was going to have a second inspection done so that I could move in by the 25 of October.I decided not to rent it, because by the 24Th I was still not able to send the inspector back in to see if the repairs has been made. Nancy kept making excuses as to where the key was first it was in Orlando, then it was in Ormond Beach and someone had to go and pick it up. Strange as she had told me when I wanted to go and look at the place that if the tenant was not there this time she would just let me in herself. Now all of a certain she does not have a key. I also gave Nancy a copy of the inspection report so that she could see for herself what was wrong with the place. She promised to return my deposit that I had given her. This was back in October on the 24 as I was suppose to move on the 25Th of October. Here it is a month later and I still do not have my money.
Nancy has stopped answering her phone, or responding to my emails. Her office can not tell you anything all they can do is give you the same telephone number that you already have. I finally got in touch with the main office, and talked to another Nancy who said they had sent my check to Nancy's office as Nancy Petekiewicz claim she did not know my address, another lie.
Well I am waiting on her to call as the main office was calling her to tell her to contact me. Time will tell. I will probably go back up to her office later on today if I don't hear from her and have the front desk to call the office while I am there.
Well people again be careful who you deal with. As I said in the beginning I don't know if there are any honest business people here in Palm Coast. Even the water company charge you $190.00 deposit every time you move. Yes I am waiting on my deposit from them too, as well as from another real estate services who put me in to a place that had mold, and mildew, and leaked every time it rained. Trust no one, they are all con artists.

Movers
I finally got moved. You would think that as many times as I have moved it would get easier, it does not. Each time seems to get worse. I will start by telling you about Todd's Moving Company, the one I used to move me. Big mistake by the way, I had Todd to come out and give me an estimate as to how long it would take for him to move me, as they would only charge you by the hour rather than give me a flat rate which I would have preferred. I had already spoke to someone on the other end of the telephone who claimed to be his wife, I explained why I wanted an estimate because of what had happened to a neighbor of mines with another moving company. "Oh my husband would never do that," she claimed. Well judge for yourselves.
Todd's estimated 5 to 6 hours at $85.00 an hour, taxes included, with a two man crew. With every thing that I had I felt that was reasonable. I had other estimates that were cheaper, but as I did not know any of them had never dealt with any one of them I chose Todd because two friends recommend him. They had used him a year earliery. A big mistake on my part. I should have rented a Uhaul and moved myself. You see I decided that I could cut the time down to no more than three hours. I moved out all my crates, trunks, and almost all my boxes, there was only 12 boxes left out of about 75. I moved the dinning room table, and the chairs, I moved the end tables for the living room and all lamps.
Now here is the kicker. I took all beds down. The China cabinet I took a loose I had taken all draws from all cabinets, and dresser out and over to the new place. The only things the movers had to load was the mattresses, for the two bedroom and the bed room furniture, the three piece sofa from the living room, the china cabinet, which was in two piece as I had taken it apart, washer, and dryer, who a friend took apart, and two three wheels bicycle - which the mover did not know how to load; I had to tell him how to do it as I had done it before. He took five minutes trying to decided how he was going to load them. They did not have to wrap anything, at least they did not wrap anything, so the time was not taken for that. It took these two men 4 hours and 15 minutes to move these few thing 7 miles, something that if my grandmother was alive with her one leg could have done in half the time.
Now comes the bill. At $85.00 an hour Times 4 hours and 15 minutes ($85.00 X 4.15) should equal $352.75. you do the math let me know what you come up with. He came up with $367. I refused to pay it. I paid the price that I came up with. I am seriously thinking about suing them for the damage to my furniture. This blog is to warn all you people out there to be careful and maybe you can learn from my mistake, never go with someone who is not known, forget about friends recommendation, what worked for them does not mean that it will work for you. You have a lot of con artiest out there just waiting to clean your pockets out.
I have one more move to make in ten months if every things goes as planed. I will not be using these people again. I think I will stick with United Van Line, at lease you can get a set rate from them not an hourly one, that way you do not have two people taking 10 minutes to carry one mattress to an elevator that is three seconds from your front door.
Until my next blog, stay safe, keep an eye on your pockets, and be very careful who you trust, there are smooth talkers out there, they are pros.

I used to wonder why people would leave their rental homes in the middle of the night. Why they would tear it up, or leave it so filthy. I have always thought that this was wrong. I still do, but I have finally come to know why they do the things they do.
After dealing with the real estate company from Satan the Devil and looking at homes from several different real estate management companies I can actually sympathize with the renters here in Palm Coast Florida.
In an earlier blog I mentioned things you as renters should watch out for. Here are a few more things.
1. When someone tells you they will hold the house for you if you will relinquish your claim to your security deposit. (In other words let them keep it.)
That they can get the owner of the house to come down from $850 to $775 if you relinquish your security deposit. But the security deposit is still $1200. dollars. It is a con. The house probably already rents for $775. and as you are paying the real estate agent not the owner he's probably pocketing the rest.
2. You come across an owner of a home who lives out of state they refer you to the management company they are using. You get conflicting information.
Example:
(a)I don't know what the security deposit is you will have to talk to the agent who is handling the property for me, but my rent is $840 a month
(b) The agent who is handling the property I don't know. It is up to the owner to set the security deposit. But my company charges $1200.
3. Please be careful of signing papers that relieve the management company of all obligation of the property because they don't own it, they are just managing it.
4. Landlords are suppose to supply pest control. Look at your contract very close, these agency are very sneaky and will check the box under tenant and you will end up supplying pest control for yourself. When you live in a condo or condominium or apartment you can expect lots of roaches and spiders. Even the single family homes that I have looked at especially the empty ones that have been sitting for a while have plenty of dead roaches and some large spiders laying around in almost every room. They smell of mold and mildew. Not clean at all this is what the real estate management companies are renting out, and they are very bad for your health.
Don't expect them to clean them either some will tell you that you are renting as is. Others will lie and say they are going to clean them but if you are coming from out of town don't expect it to be clean, give yourself time before your belongings get to you, so that you can clean it for yourself. Don't think that your confronting them will help either, they simply tell you that to some people clean means different things. That should tell you right then that person is nasty.
I am not saying that all real estate companies are that way, as I have not dealt with all of them. What I can tell you is that 6 out of 7 so far have been that way, and two of them I strongly feel are con artist.
To me Palm Coast Florida real estate agencies are the biggest racketeers since AL Capone. The real estate here far succeed lone sharks, or con artist's, In fact they make them look good in comparison. Maybe the Federal Government should get involved and bring somebody like Elliot Ness back to clean them out and leave the few good ones that may still be in existence. One other thing the odor's here in Palm Coast are the worst I have ever encountered,If you are sensitive to foul smells then this would not be the place to come and live.
I have found one real estate agent to deal with I will let you know how it comes out. Until next time be careful all you who are looking for rental homes the con's are out there in droves, just waiting to relieve you of your hard earn money.

A friend sent me this email and even though I can not testify to the authentic of this article it may be true it may not be true. I thought I would copy, and paste it so I could get your opinion as well as have you to answer three question for me. All you sensitive ones grab your tissues.
Used vs. Loved While a man was polishing his new car, his 4 yr old son picked up a stone and scratched lines on the side of the car. In anger, the man took the child's hand and hit it many times; not realizing he was using a wrench. At the hospital, the child lost all his fingers due to multiple fractures. When the child saw his father.....with painful eyes he asked, 'Dad when will my fingers grow back'? The man was so hurt and speechless; he went back to his car and kicked it a lot of times. Devastated by his own actions.......sitting in front of that car he looked at the scratches; the child had written 'LOVE YOU DAD'.
The next day that man committed suicide. . .. Anger and Love have no limits; choose the latter to have a beautiful, lovely life..... Things are to be used and people are to be loved. But the problem in today's world is that People are used and things are loved... During the day, be careful to keep this thought in mind: Things are to be used, but People are to be loved ... Be yourself....This is the only day we HAVE. I agree with this and would like to add this, "Tomorrow is not promise". Have a nice day!

My question are.

2. How would you have handle the situation if this person had been you?
3. Was the father easy way to render justice to himself the right way, or should he had lived and paid for his anger for the rest of his nature life?

Hello it's barbie rants. Last week I read an article on Shine about a stranger who spanked a woman,s small child for acting up in a store. A lot of people responded to the article. Some were mad, others found humor in the way the story was written, some were sympathetic, and still others were ready to be violent.
I grant you the woman was wrong for hitting another person's child. But the mother of the child was also wrong for not disciplining her own child, or being so far away from her that some one else had to do the disciplining for her. I have heard another side of this story that the woman was not spanking the child but was merely trying to comfort her. At any rate some of the comments are as follows:
1. I let my child scream until he gets tired. That way he learns that he is not going to get his way.
(a)It does not matter how long it screams or who it bothers. Question : What do you think about that?
2. I don't believe in spanking a child.
(b) The bible says if you spare the rod you spoil the child. Question: Who is right the parent or the Creator Almighty God?
3. I live in New York, if it had been my child or any other New Yorker, the woman who hit the child would be dead now and I or some one would probably be in jail.
(c)Question: Do you think this is a proper attitude to have? What is the parent really teaching his/her child? As the response came from a parent in N.Y. stating that other parents would do the same, does this mentality really reflect all New York parents?
4. I think that people who agree with this stranger do not have children.
(d)Question: Do you think that only people with children can speak on raising them?
5. I read parenting books and they say never spank your child. Let them scream, cry whatever.
(e) Sounds like Dr. Spock who felt that way for years, then one day came to his senses and changed his opinion as to using spanking as a form of discipline. Question: Do you think that those readers who base raising their children on parenting books, written by who knows who make the best parents, rather than those who raise them by the experience that they had, being raised by their own parents?
I could go on with these comment and question for days but it has to end somewhere. So I will end it with a comment of my own, and a question. For you people who feel that only parenting books is the best advice to follow, look out you may be raising jail birds. Those of you who felt that violence is how the problem should have been handled, that sounds like to me a dramatic step, that will always back fire, on you or your off springs. For parents who say let them scream, cry, or whatever, that is foolish, and you should be disciplined for allowing a child to carry on in this way. For those who have no children, don't be offended by those who do. They are just ignorant, and need someone to teach them the base facts of life. That is because people do not have children for whatever reason they choose not to have them, probably will make a better parent than a lot of those who have them. A lot of your comments made better sense than those who have children did. Maybe because you could look at both side of the situation.
My question is this: Since the government has interfered with how parents raise their children, Do you think that they are to blame for the increase in crime, that exist in our world today?

Hello follower Barbie rants today about life.
What is life? Life to some is getting ahead by what ever means they can. Some it trying to get rich. Other it is just trying to survive from one pay check to another.
The question then is what are we teaching our children about life? Is it, that a name is better than good oil, or how to be cruel, con artistic, thieves, murder, how to lie, are just how to be hateful.
Have you ever notice that those who are rich they die just as the poor does. When they die they can not take their riches with them, instead they leave them behind and their family member fight over what ever is left. The poor don't have much to leave but their family member do the same thing. They too fight for what ever it is that has been left behind. They all seem to fight rich and poor by what ever means they can, be it cheat, lie, or steal.
Some say that when we are born, we come into this world kicking, and crying for a reason. The reason being that even as babies we already know what kind of world we are coming into and we hate it. No wonder the Bible tells us "That the day of death is better than the day of one being born. That it is better to go to the house of mourning than to go to the ban quest house."
Years ago I was told that I should cry when some one is born, and laugh when they die. I did not understand at the time how any one could say such a thing. As I have gotten older I have since learned just what the significant of that statement denotes. It means that for now they rest and no longer have to deal with the anxiety of this life. It may sound cruel to some but there is a lot of truth in the saying because of the meaning.
A wise man once said "I myself returned that I might see all the acts of oppression that are being done under the sun, and look the tears of those being oppressed, but they had no comforter, and on the side of their oppressors there was power, so that they had no comforter." He went on to say that "He congratulated the dead who had already died rather than the living who was still alive. So better than both of them is the one who has not seen the calamitous work that is being done under the sun."
That wise man was helping us to appreciate that the dead was better off than the living as they no longer had to deal with the calamitous of life, and that the one's who had never been conceived was better off than both the living or the dead, as they would never have to know the calamitous that would await them in this cruel world.

In the mean time work on obtaining the wisdom that will make your life a happy one, instead of being one of those who cheat, steal, lie, or con other. Pass on to your children , your families a good name not one that is causing grief to other. So then what is life? Each one of us have to answer that question for our selves.
What is life? Life to some is getting ahead by what ever means they can. Some it trying to get rich. Other it is just trying to survive from one pay check to another.
The question then is what are we teaching our children about life? Is it, that a name is better than good oil, or how to be cruel, con artistic, thieves, murder, how to lie, are just how to be hateful.
Have you ever notice that those who are rich they die just as the poor does. When they die they can not take their riches with them, instead they leave them behind and their family member fight over what ever is left. The poor don't have much to leave but their family member do the same thing. They too fight for what ever it is that has been left behind. They all seem to fight rich and poor by what ever means they can, be it cheat, lie, or steal.
Some say that when we are born, we come into this world kicking, and crying for a reason. The reason being that even as babies we already know what kind of world we are coming into and we hate it. No wonder the Bible tells us "That the day of death is better than the day of one being born. That it is better to go to the house of mourning than to go to the ban quest house."
Years ago I was told that I should cry when some one is born, and laugh when they die. I did not understand at the time how any one could say such a thing. As I have gotten older I have since learned just what the significant of that statement denotes. It means that for now they rest and no longer have to deal with the anxiety of this life. It may sound cruel to some but there is a lot of truth in the saying because of the meaning.

Hello followers, I was just on line following the yahoo buzz news. Felt that the resolution that the house brought against Joe Wilson was a good one. We don't need any one in Government that is going to keep stirring up racism. I mean no disrespect to Mr. Steny Hoyer who said he was surprise at what Joe Wilson said, and that he thought that Joe Wilson was surprise at what he said himself. I don't think that Joe Wilson was surprise I think he planned the whole thing. I think that a part of him, still lives back in Slavery time when black was consider as low life and not respected at all. Just good enough to keep their homes clean, raise their children, work their fields, and the women be raped by their so call owner who could not be satified by their own wife.
As for the few who decided to vote in Joe Wilson favor I don't care if you are black or white, Democrats, or Republican, he was disrespectful and if you agree with him then maybe you too are still living in slavery time, and should not be a representative of the people who really would like to see things change, in hopes that every one become united as one people. There are some who really want to for get the hate, and try and bring a world of love and peace for all people. Every one seem to for get that we are all one race and that is the human race. We are all different in the color of our skin. But we all stem from two people. Adam and Eve. We all bleed the same color blood, we have the same type of organs inside of us, and we all die.
I can not help but wonder if the shoes was on the other foot, how would Joe Wilson feel, if he had been called a lie. Joe Wilson you were wrong and you should be ashamed of your self. You are stirring up racism, a hate that a lot of people have worked so hard to put behind them. We have come too far in this world to start going backward. You should not be so evil, or jealous because the President came up with a better plain than you could, that you would try and destroy it. If any of you politicians really cared about the people you would get behind this policy and give it a chance. I speak as one of those who have no insurance and can not afford to buy any because the rates are so high.
What are your thoughts?

To all of you who are out there looking for a place to rent, especially those of you who are coming from another state. The houses, apartment, condos, and condominium, that you see on the Internet are not as they appear. Pay attention to the date and year on the pictures that are shown. You may find that some of them are any where from 5 to 10 years old.
My experience has taught me that the real estate management company, are the worst kind of con artists. There con's are legal and the law back them. Here are a few things you should look for and do, when looking to rent especially here in Florida.
1. The wording in their contracts.
2. Have the place inspected by a professional. It is better to pay $200 or $300. for an inspection than to end up stuck in a bad place for a year.
3. Make sure you have your own clause put into a rental contract concern problem that may come up with the property that you are renting.
4. Get every thing in writing. Any promises made as to the cleaning or fixing the place. They smile in your face when they are trying to rent once you sign the contract you will then need a lawyer. Who are not cheap.
5. When viewing the place pay close attention to the smell. If the place is empty and you see air fresheners plug into the wall sockets, and perfume candles in every room, put your guard up. There is a very, very, strong possibility that they are covering up the smell of mildew, mold, or some other odor.
6. Check all the closets out look up at the top of them, you see brown colors, something wrong.
7. Keep in mind that odors don't lie, people do.
8. Look under all cabins, turn faults on, you may discover some leaks. Note the brown coloring, or contact paper used to cover over the problems. Some one is trying to hide something.
9. If you see dead insects just know that you will find live ones also.
10. Beware of this to they charge you a leg and an arm and then they wont you to be responsible for keeping up their lawns. I remember a time when owner kept up their own property, made repairs that need repairing.
11. Don,t let those smiling real estate agents con you. They grin in your face, answer your question. Tell you about how the law is wrong because rental have no rights. But you later find out that the answer they give you are not true. All they are after is getting you to sign the contracts.
So be smart and if you have to get a lawyer to help you not be rip off then I say get one. You will need one to deal with them on a level that a con article need to be dealt with.
I hope all of you who are looking fare better than I have. I have three months left on my Lease then I can get out of this dump that is suppose to be a home. So far I have not found anything worth renting. I may have to go with my second choice and put every thing in storage and get on the road again.
